Alela LLC, a New York limited liability company, operates alelaparties.com and provides the Alela party-design service to U.S. customers. This policy explains how we handle personal information when you visit our website, make an enquiry, access private project materials or work with us.

2. Information we collect
We collect information you provide, including:
- Contact details: your name, email address and optional phone number.
- Celebration details: the occasion, date, guest numbers and ages, the person being celebrated, preferences, budget and practical needs.
- Venue references: the address, photographs, captions, dimensions, furniture and access arrangements.
- Project records: correspondence, designs, feedback, approvals, delivery records and relevant billing or payment information.
- Enquiry confirmations: your 18+ confirmation, Terms acceptance and Privacy acknowledgement, including document versions and the time of submission.
- AI questions: questions you submit to the website's AI guide and the responses shown.
Our service providers also process technical information, such as IP addresses, browser information, request times and security events, to operate and protect the website.
Only fields marked as required are needed to submit an enquiry. Photos and many planning details are optional. Please avoid unnecessary information about guests, medical details, identity documents and payment-card details.
3. How we use information
We use information to respond to enquiries, agree the scope of work, develop and revise designs, deliver our services, manage payments and records, provide support, protect our services and meet legal obligations. Project records may include observations and design ideas developed from your brief and photos.
We use your contact details for your enquiry, project and related service communications. Making an enquiry does not subscribe you to a marketing list. We do not operate a newsletter or promotional mailing list at launch.
4. Photos and AI-assisted design
Selected photos stay in your browser tab until you submit the enquiry form. Submitting an enquiry does not itself start AI design work.
During design work, relevant brief details, practical venue information and reference photos may be processed by a third-party AI provider to help develop and review your design. Please avoid including people, private documents or other unnecessary identifying details in photos and free-text answers.
Your original reference photos are not published in our gallery, included as original photos in your design page or PDF, or shared with other clients. Design images may still show recognizable features of your venue. Promotional use of your photos, testimonials or identifiable project material requires separate, specific written permission. Declining that permission does not affect your service.
5. The website's AI guide
When you use the AI guide, your current question is processed by an AI provider to help provide a response about Alela. Please do not enter addresses, payment details or sensitive personal information.
The website application does not save chat transcripts. The conversation shown in your browser clears when you reload or leave the page. We retain an identifier derived from your IP address and usage counts to limit abuse; providers also process technical information to operate their services. Clearing the browser display does not delete any records retained by our service providers.
If you choose to email us, you can review the message before sending it. That email becomes part of your correspondence with Alela.
Your confirmation to use the AI guide resets when you reload or leave the page.
6. Who receives information
We use third-party service providers for website hosting and security, data storage, image processing, communications, AI-assisted responses and design work, and payment processing where applicable. These providers receive information relevant to the services they perform.
Authorized Alela personnel use project information to perform their work. Information may be processed in the United States and other countries where our service providers operate.
We may also disclose information where legally required, to address fraud or security issues, to professional advisers where needed, or as you authorize. Sharing needed for separately agreed ordering assistance will be explained as part of those arrangements.
We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context targeted advertising.
External shopping and payment links lead to independent providers. Their privacy policies apply when you use their services.
7. Cookies and technical information
We use essential cookies and similar technology to operate and protect the service, including cookies that maintain access to your private design. You can manage cookies through your browser; blocking them may affect access to some features.
Our website does not use advertising pixels or analytics scripts. Hosting and security processing still occurs. We do not use third-party trackers to follow your activity over time across other websites or services. The website does not change its behavior in response to browser Do Not Track signals.
8. How long we keep information
We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to your enquiry, provide and support agreed services, maintain necessary business records, comply with legal obligations, and establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
Retention depends on the type and sensitivity of the information, the status of your enquiry or project, our continuing relationship, applicable recordkeeping requirements and any relevant dispute or legal hold. Contracts, invoices and records of agreed work may be kept longer than venue photos or other planning references.
We review the continuing need for information and delete or de-identify it when it is no longer reasonably needed. Copies in backups and provider systems may take longer to expire under their applicable retention arrangements.
9. Your choices and requests
You may leave optional fields blank and choose whether to upload photos. If missing information affects the service we can provide, we will discuss it with you.
Email [email protected] to ask about your information, request access or a copy, correct a detail, request deletion or raise a privacy concern. We may need reasonable verification before releasing or changing records.
Your legal rights depend on where you live and which laws apply. We will handle requests under applicable law and explain any relevant limits, such as records we must retain or an effect on unfinished work.
10. Children's information
Our enquiry form, photo uploads and AI guide are for adults aged 18 or over organizing celebrations. Please do not submit information through these features if you are under 18. Adults may provide limited information about a child's celebration, such as a first name or nickname and age. Please avoid identifiable children in venue photos where they are unnecessary to explain the space.
If you believe someone under 18 has submitted personal information directly, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.
11. Security and policy updates
We use access controls and other safeguards to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage guarantees complete security. Share private design links and access codes only as permitted by your project arrangements, and contact us if you suspect unauthorized access.
We will post updates with a revised effective date. For material changes, we will provide a prominent website notice and, where appropriate, notify affected clients directly. We will obtain additional consent where required before using previously collected information for a new purpose.
